Spicy Baked Fish (ready in 20 minutes)

This spicy baked fish recipe is a quick weekday meal and on the table in 20 minutes, making it a great healthy, low fat, family dinner.

Ingredients

  • 500g (17½ oz) fish fillets (see note 1)
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp oregano
  • ¼ tsp chilli powder
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • tsp dill
  • salt & pepper (to personal taste)
  • 1 tbs olive oil (more if needed)

Instructions

  • Pre-heat the oven to 225ºC (435°F). Line a large tray with aluminium foil.
  • Mix all the ingredients together (apart from the olive oil and fish) in a bowl. 
  • Place the fish on the tray and brush with olive oil. Sprinkle the spices over the top. Do both sides if you like (you may need a double batch of the spices to do this).
  • Bake for 10 minutes then serve immediately with noodles, rice, potatoes or anything else you like.

Notes

 
I have converted grams to cups/ounces/tablespoons using online converters. Although I have no reason to believe they are inaccurate, please be aware that I have not made this recipe with imperial measurements.
  1. Use any fish you like (fresh or frozen - but defrost before cooking).
